Oyo state commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Aderalewa Akintayo has paid visit to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba (Dr) Olayiwole Adeyemi III. The visit was in continuation of his familiarization tour of notable institutions in the state upon his redeployment as the new commandant of the state. During the visit, the commandant reassured the monarch of the Corps commitment to the safety of lives and property of the citizens as well as the protection of critical national asset and infrastructure of government. He explained that training of personnels, especially the female squad, is one of the security strategies adopted by the commandant general, Dr. Ahmed Audi, to promote safe schools initiative through enhancement of security across academic institutions. Commandant Akintayo also thanked the Oba for his support of the Corps over the years. In his remark, Oba Adeyemi stated his continuous support for the Corps in fight crimes and criminality in the state. See photos below:
