Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Audi has stated that the Corps is prepared to partner with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) along with other security agencies in other to ensure free elections in the country. The CG made this known while on a visit to the INEC chairman, Prof Mahmoud Yakubu, at the INEC headquarters, Abuja. While promising to ensure active participation of Corps officers in providing security for election materials, INEC officials and other facilities of the commission before, during and after elections. He noted that their is active need for collaboration among stakeholders in other to promote political values and protect democratic culture.
