President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) would not weaken the morale of the Nigerian military, but rather strengthen their determination to bring an end to criminality in the country. This was disclosed in a statement by special adviser to the president (media and publicity), Femi Adesina, stating that the president said the attack would accelerate the total uprooting of terrorism. President Buhari commiserated with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the attack, vowing that the deceased wouldn't die in vain. He thanked Nigerians who value and appreciate the efforts of its military, and urges those playing hateful politics with the dastardly act to desist. The president added that this is the time for all Nigerians and people of goodwill to support and encourage those who are in the vanguard of the battle against wickedness in the country.
