The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that 471 new cases has been discovered in the country. Giving a breakdown of the new cases, NCDC revealed that Lagos state records 219 new cases, Akwa Ibom records 102 new cases, Ondo records 37 new cases, Oyo records 33 new cases, Kwara records 19 new cases, Rivers record 16 new cases, Ekiti records 15 new cases, Delta records 14 new cases, Ogun records 7 new cases, FCT records 5 new cases, Niger records 2 new cases, Edo records 1 case, and Katsina records 1 case. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 178,086; with a total discharge of 165,763 and total deaths of 2,187.
