President of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs Salamatu Faruk has laid foundation for six blocks of classrooms and two staff office for nursery and primary school at Giginya Barracks Sokoto.
She donated food items to widows of Giginya Barracks and women of Luga village in Dange Shuni LGA.
During the function, Mrs Faruk paid a courtesy visit to Sokoto state Governor Aminu Waziri and his wife, General Officer Commanding 8 Division/ Commander Joint Task Force (Northwest) operation HADARIN DAJI Maj General Uwem U Bassey.
The president also paid visit to the Division hospital as well as presented relief materials and cash to patients, and interacted with soldier's families and widows to their needs and address it accordingly.
