The Nigerian police has arrested two suspected male armed robbers, Samson Tella (37) and Raphael John (21), who specialize in One chance robbery and have been terrorising Lekki/Ajah axis of the Lagos. This was disclosed in a statement signed by police public relations officer of Lagos state command, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stating that arrest was carried out by operatives of the state police command attached to Ilasan division on 3rd August, 2021. Giving details of their arrest, The Force said that the suspects on 2nd August, 2021, at 9:30pm, attacked the owner of a Toyota corolla car with registration number JJJ 242 FW, at Ikate area of the state. They drove the owner of the car to an ATM in Ikate, where they withdrew the sum of twenty thousand naira (#20,000) from the account of the victim. The victim reported to the police who tracked down and traced the car to a mechanic workshop at Lafiaji, Lagos Island, on 3rd August, 2021, where the suspects were arrested with the stolen car. The victim identified Samson Tella as one of the robbers that attacked him. Lagos state commissioner of police, CP Hakeem Odumosu assures Lagosians of adequate security for lives and property, and to sustain the peace that is being enjoyed by the residents. He ordered that the suspects be transferred to the Special Squad, Ikeja, for proper investigation and possible prosecution.
