Rapper Kanye West has made known his desire to be known as 'Ye', in papers filled officially to court in Los Angeles. This is coming after he had earlier tweeted about changing his name, after releasing an album titled Ye, BBC reports. Kanye said that the name 'Ye' has religious significance for him. In a discussion with radio host Big Boy in 2018 about his album title, Kanye said, "I believe 'ye' is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible it means 'you,'" "So I'm you, I'm us, it's us. It went from Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye - just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused, everything." The 44-year-old rapper has already changed his name on instagram to 'Ye'.
