Government of Enugu state has evacuated 135 state indigenes who are schooling in University of Jos (UNIJOS) to their homes, as a result of the recent crisis in Jos, Plateau state. Special adviser to Enugu state governor on students affairs, Chidi Ilogebe, disclosed in a statement that 37 evacuated students returned safely to Enugu yesterday, 28 were conveyed to Abuja to join their loved ones while others were taken to their various homes within Plateau and surrounding areas based on their requests, amid tight security. The evacuation directive was given by Enugu Governor Ugwuanyi, stating that the students were evacuated from the school to their various states of residence for safety. Another State to have also done this is the Ekiti state government.
