Governor Zulum gives aptitude test to school teachers

Governor of Borno state, H. E. Umaru Zulum has put the state school teachers to an aptitude test to determine the level of their qualifications and ability to teach. 

He said that the teacher, comprising of 65 in number, were tested not to sack anyone, but to determine their capacity and know where to place them, noting that those that doesn't have the capacity to teach would be given a choice, either to redeploy to administrative department or send them for further training. 

The governor stated that at the end of each year, every teacher and his pupils will be evaluated and the government will support them with accommodation and other related services. 

Also, after the test, he gave N20,000 and 10 yards of fabric to each teacher, while senior secondary school's principal and primary school head teacher got N50,000 and 10 yards of fabric. 

Governor Zulum stated that the government will continue to support, adding that they shall be evaluated and teachers salaries that needs to be upgraded will be updated. He said that more number of pupils intake will be encouraged, especially by providing a male and other support. 

In another development, He gave humanitarian aid to another 4,798 persons in Baga and Cross Kauwa 

Of the total number of benefitiaries in both towns, 2,905 women, each received a bag of rice, a bag of maize grits, a roll of wrapper and 10,000 Naira cash, while 1,893 men received a bag of rice, a bag of maize grits, and 10,000 Naira cash.
