Enugu state Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has commemorated with the people of the state as it marks its 30th anniversary since the creation in 1991. The governor in a statement, thanked God and acknowledge founding fathers and past leaders of the state for their labour. The statement in full; The Government and good people of Enugu happily commemorate the 30th anniversary of the creation of our beloved Enugu state. We thank the almighty God for His mercies, grace and faithfulness. We salute the labour of the founding fathers of Enugu state and indeed all our past leaders, both living and those of blessed memory. We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the lofty dreams of our forebearers and the pursuit of a peaceful, secure, prosperous, just and equitable society where all residents will have opportunity to live, work and enjoy life. Long live Enugu state! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!
