Niger state Governor Sani Bello has directed the ministry of works and infrastructural development to commence intervention work on portions of roads eroded by rainwater in Minna. This was disclosed by chief press secretary to the governor, Mary Noel-Berje, stating that the governor gave the directions whIle inspecting some eroded parts of Minna-Boso-Maikunkele Road and Minna Western Bypass. Governor Bello charged the ministry to quicken the repairs of the road so as to avoid accidents and save the road from total collapse, adding that the maintenance work will prevent further damage on the roads. Most part of the roads being washed away were due to poor drainage systems for water to flow freely.
