Ghana police in a manhunt for suspected herdsmen alleged to have defiled a 13-year-old girl at Gomoa Adzintem in the Central region, has arrested 14 herdsmen in connection with the crime. This was disclosed in a statement signed by Ag director general, public affairs, Assistant commissioner of police, Kwesi Ofori, revealing that the operation was carried out by the Formed Police Unit (FPU) together with personnel from the Central East regional police command. The operation led to the recovery of 2 single barrel and 2 pump action guns, also a 49 AA ammunitions have also been recovered. Also, the police assured the people of Gomoa Adzintem that an identification parade will be conducted in the community to identify the real suspects and bring such person to book.
