Ghanaian acting Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare has directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), headquarters to provide technical support to Bono regional CID to investigate the murder of three persons at Abesim in the Bono region of the country. The murder case involves one Richard Appiah, a 28-year-old architect, suspected to have murdered two young men, aged 12 and 15 respectively, as well as a yet to be identified man whose bodies were found in his residence at Alaska near Abesim, on Friday August 20, 2021. This was disclosed in a statement signed by AG, director general of public relations, Assistant commissioner of police, Kwesi Ofori, stating that the Police arrested Richard who is currently in police custody assisting the investigation. Acting IGP Dampare commended the Force as well as community for their effort towards the arrest of the suspect, and entreats that civil-police collaboration should be deepened to promote peace and security in the society.
