Enugu state government in partnership with AutoEase Limited has engaged 400 youths in Auto-revamp Innovation Training Programme (AITP), to learn skills in automobile industry. The state government is engaging the youths through the state's Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), adding that the training would include how to repair damaged vehicles and building new cars from older models, among others. According to the Special Adviser to the Governor SMEs Development and Director-General, Enugu SMEs Centre, Hon. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, the 1st batch of the beneficiaries, who participated in the eight-month-long AITP, have graduated and received their certificates. He stated that the 2nd and 3rd batches of the beneficiaries are still undergoing training while application for participation in the 4th batch are still ongoing.
