In an attack on Makoro Iri village of Kajuru local government area, Bandits has killed two persons, identified as Gideon Mumini and Barnabas Ezra. This was disclosed by commissioner, ministry of internal security and home affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosing that security agencies had reported the incident to the state government. According to the report, The bandits invaded the remote village and shot the two persons dead. In another development, troops of Operation Safe Haven had rescued three travellers from armed bandits along Waya- Godogodo road in Jema'a LGA, Kaduna state. The travellers, identified as Jibril Salisu, Happy Sunday and Ruth Dauda, were abducted by the bandits who barricaded the road. Responding to a distress call, the troops pursued the bandits and rescued the three travellers, as well as recovered the travellers' vehicle, a Peugeot 307. Reacting to this, Governor Nasir El-rufai noted with sadness of the report on the attack in Makoro Iri village, and prayed for the repose of the victims' soul, as he sent condolences to their families. He also commended the troops for the swift response that secured the rescue of the travelers.
