Akwa Ibom state Governor Udom Emmanuel has expressed joy having received the Nigerian professional elite league trophy won by Akwa United FC. The trophy was presented by the state Commissioner for youth and sports, Monday Ebong Uko, before the state executive council meeting. Governor Emmanuel said, Today, I gladly received the coveted Professional Elite League trophy, won by our state owned Akwa United FC, at the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Uyo. He added that his administration's policy on sports development is yielding fruit.
