Air Peace commence operation in Ibadan

Air Peace has began operation in Ibadan, commencing flights from Abuja to Ibadan today Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

The airline thanked the Oyo state government and stakeholders who assisted in making the launch possible. 

State Governor Seyi Makinde, who attended the launch, stated that the state had received it's first Air Peace flight to Ibadan, noting that it would operate a daily flight into Ibadan. 

He thanked the chairman, Chief Allen Onyeama and the management of Air Peace for the project. 

The governor also open the renovated and remodelled Protocol/VIP lounge at Ibadan airport, Alakia saying that it is one of the several steps, the state has taken to upgrade the airport to make it a alternative airport in southern western part of Nigeria. 




Governor Makinde said, "Earlier this year, we donated an operational vehicle and a fire truck which upgraded the safety status of the airport. Last month, we awarded the contract for constructing and installing a 500,000-litre aviation fuel facility so airlines can make Ibadan airport an operational base."

He also thanked the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for working with the state on the project, adding that without their cooperation, the state's plan to upgrade the Ibadan Airport wouldn't have been possible.
