Stanblic bank awards Ghanaian policeman with cash for honesty and integrity

Stanblic bank has awarded Ghanaian policeman, Constable Prince Fordjour of the police national SWAT with a special investment fund of four thousand Ghana cedis; gift  voucher of one thousand Ghana cedis, current account credited with one thousand Ghana cedis and corporate souvenir of the bank, for displaying honesty and integrity.


This was disclosed by the Ghana police service on social media, stating that the bank's branding and marketing manager, Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu informed that Constable Fordjour on 5th July 2021 had found cash of Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (2000.00 ghc) discharged by the bank's ATM at Abeka Total with nobody in sight.


He said that the constable reported the incident to his Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Theodore Hlormenu who in turn returned the money to the bank.


Afadzinu noted that It is not about the amount involved but the gesture of the constable which personifies what the police represents in the community, which is the same as our motto 'Service with Integrity.


Also, the Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh, who was also pleased with Constable Fordjour's action, presented him with the cash amount of five thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 5,000) and thanked the bank for not keeping the news to themselves. 


He urged police officers to stand up for the right thing at all times even when no one is watching.
