The Royal Family of England has announced that Queen Elizabeth II has carried out certain engagements in Scotland, as part of the Royal Week 2021.

It stated that on Monday the Queen and the Duke of Cambridge had visited a Scottish institution, the Irn Bru factory, stating that AG Barr has been making ginger/soft drinks since it was founded by Robert Barr in 1875.

Also, on that day, the Queen visited the Palace of Holyroodhouse for the traditional 'Ceremony of the Keys', where the Lord Provost of Edinburgh presented the keys of the city to her.

On Tuesday, The Queen held audiences with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and Presiding Officer Alison Johnstone at the palace of Holyroodhouse. After which, she was then welcomed to the newly renovated Argylls Museum at Stirling Castle.

On Wednesday, The Queen and The Princess Royal visited Children's Wood and Sky Park, both places in Glasgow. She afterwards met with two companies, who are leading the way in space technology, AAC Clyde Space and Spire Global.

For their final engagement of the week, The Queen and The Princess Royal visited the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute, part of Edinburgh University, to learn about their work to combat climate change.

Royal Week (Holyrood Week), is a week that takes place each summer, in which the Queen and members of the Royal Family undertake visits across Scotland celebrating Scottish culture, achievement and communities.
