Following directive from Lagos state Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce) has arrested 71 miscreants from Oshodi axis of the state, over the weekend.
This directive was led by CSP Shola Jejeloye, who led the team at dawn and combed Oshodi Oke, Oshodi Under bridge, Toyota, Fatai Atere, among others, which resulted in the arrest of the miscreants at around 5:00am to 6:00 am.
It was reported that CSP Jejeloye had on reaching the agency's headquarters in Oshodi, personally screen the suspects one after the other before releasing five of them.
Some of the passers-by, who witnessed the arrest, commended the agency, stating that they (miscreants) had made Oshodi inaccessible at dawn and at night.
In a similar event, the Lagos State Task had impounded 227 motor cycles for plying restricted routes. The bikes were impounded in Ikeja along, Ogba, Alaguntan, Abule Egba, Command, Gate, and Ayobo.
