Following the death of Kaduna former deputy governor, H. E. Yusuf Bala, the state government has declared Monday, 12th July, 2021, a work free day to honour his memory and service to the state. This was revealed in a statement by Special adviser to the governor (Media and communication), Muyiwa Adekeye, stating that the late deputy governor had served the state from May 2015 to May 2019. It revealed that Governor Nasir El-rufai had sant a personal message to condolence to the family, noting that it was a blessing to have know and worked with the late deputy governor. The governor acknowledged his commitment to the progress of Kaduna state, praying that God grant him peaceful repose and comfort to his family. Late Deputy Governor Barnabas Yusuf Bala (Bantex) died on 11th July, 2021, in Abuja.
