During visit to Malam-Fatori, headquarters of Abadam local government area, Borno state, Governor Umaru Zulum has approved 10 patrol vehicle to be dispatch to the military, as part it's effort in preparing the liberated Boko Haram stronghold for reconstruction and safe return of refugees. He helps interactive meeting with the commanding officer of the 68 battalion in Malam-Fatori, to identify areas where the state government would offer support. The governor also directed the State Rural Water Supply Agency to drill deep aquifer borehole within the military barracks, so as to address problems of access to water supply faced by the soldiers. Speaking to the troops, Governor Zulum commended their commitment, and encouraged them to be steadfast in their efforts to clear remnants of the insurgents hibernating around the area. He also assessed infrastructure that have been destroyed by the terrorists in the town, stating that it would be reconstructed before December. Governor Zulum disclosed that a relocation committee would be constituted next week, to oversee reconstruction works and come up with a relocation plan.
