Ghana police has arrested three persons alleged to be involved in several armed robber cases in the Nabdam and Zebilla districts in the upper ease region. The arrests was made by the Upper East Regional Police command on Sunday July 11, 2021, disclosing that the names of the arrested suspects were Maxwell Ziaba a.k.a Strongman aged 19, Bodozina Awudu a.ka. Network Absorber aged 20 and Yidaana Shamshudeen aged 23, adding they were arrested at various hideouts at Pelungu and Dakota. The Force revealed that the suspects had admitted to the involvement in robberies at Tarkwa and Obuasi mining communities near Tongo and Gbane in the Talensu districts of the region, adding that the suspects had identifier some victims, who had also identified their stolen items. The items recovered from the suspects include: a locally manufactured pistol, ammunitions, a double-edged knife, two unregistered motorbikes, five gold detectors and mobile phones.
