EMPLOYMENT SCAM: NSCDC warns that recruitment list being circulated on social media is fake

The Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC),Ahmed Audi has set up a committee of enquiry to investigate the individuals or group of persons behind the fake 2019/2021 replacement and recruitment supplementary list currently in circulation on social media.


This was disclosed in a statement by DCC Olusola Odumosu, Director, Public relations, NSCDC, National headquarters.


It stated that the list of successful applicants for NSCDC job going viral on social media came as a shocking news to the Corps, who hasn't released any recruitment list. This lead to the Corps, alerting members of the public that such list is fake, mischievous and misleading.


It stated that the lost didn't emanate from the Corps nor Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Correctional Service Board, but the hand work of some unscrupulous elements who wishes to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.


Members of the public are therefore warned to disregard the fake recruitment list currently being circulated across the country as a ploy by nefarious individuals and mischief makers to defraud innocent job seekers, some of whom have been made to part with different amount of money in their desperation for NSCDC recruitment, it stated.


The Commandant General noted that the NSCDC recruitment list will be published in the mainstream media once it is ready, and assured that the perpetrators of the fake lost will be arrested and made to face the law.


He urged members of the public to help with any information that may lead to the arrest of these criminals, warning that NSCDC wouldn't be held liable for anyone who falls prey to the antics of these fraudsters in the name of recruitment.
