Governor of Borno state, H. E. Umaru Zulum has stated that 200 citizens will be sponsored by his administration to specialize in different courses at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). He stated this while leading Borno's delegation to attend Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi's conferment of doctorate degree by UNILAG. The governor commended the university management and staff for their continued support in areas of research and innovation. He also thanked UNILAG for identifying and awarding the Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of Borno State University as a Honorary Doctorate Degree. Vice chancellor of UNILAG, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe assured the public that the university will continue to do its best in moulding the right kind of graduates required to build the nation and make Nigeria proud. He stated that the school convocation ceremony comprise of a total of 15,733 students from both first and postgraduate degrees. The VC thanked all dignitaries at the ceremony for attending the occasion.
