TEGINA ABDUCTION: Governor Sani Bello meets with parents of kidnapped 136 students

Governor of Niger state, H. E. Sani Bello has met with parents of the 136 kidnapped students of Salihu Tanko Islamiya school and other stakeholders in Tegina.


This was disclosed by Mary Noel Berje, Chief press secretary to the governor of Niger state, stating that the meeting was held at the palace of the Emir of Kagara, Alh. Ahmed Garba Gunna.


The governor commisserated with the parents, assuring them that the government are working in other to rescue the children.




Recall that NDTV reported that gunmen had abducted 136 children from an Islamic seminary in central Nigerian.


It stated that the Niger state government had first reported the raid on the school in the town of Tegina on Monday 31st June, 2021, but didn't indicate the number of children seized.




Later on late Wednesday, the state government on twitter confirmed that 136 students were abducted by bandits
