President Muhammadu Buhari has welcome Zamfara state Governor Bello Matawelle as he defects from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC). He described Matawelle's defection to APC, as a confirmation of the fact that the party's agenda for good governance is the only reason why Nigerians are getting attracted to the party, saying, I am proud of Zamfara Governor Bello Matawalle's timely and wise decision to join the governing party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). His voluntary decision to join our great party confirms the fact that our agenda for good governance is the only reason why Nigerians are getting attracted to the APC, because the other alternative didn't work. The president noted that the doors to APC are wide open to other politicians who believe in its vision to rebuild Nigeria. He urged all APC governors and elected lawmakers across the country to continue to work harder to ensure that the party maintains it's popularity and retains power beyond 2023. We must never forget that as elected members of the APC, our performance at all levels will impact significantly on the fortunes of the party. We must always resist complacency; we must constantly work hard to build the APC from strength to strength. Nigerians expect a lot from us, and we will never let them down! President Buhari said.
