Ghana police has shot dead a suspected notorious armed robber, Iddrisu Adams alias Koomi, who was attempted to escape from custody. Iddrisu was arrested by the Ashanti regional police command on 22nd June, 2021 through special police operation. On 23rd June, 2021, while he was being escorted to places named by him as hideouts of his accomplices, he attempted to escape and was shot. The suspect was taken to the St. Martins Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The police assured the public that it is committed to prevent and fight crime, urging the public for their cooperation.
