Governor Abdulrazaq promotes theatre art in the state

Governor of Kwara state, H. E. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has stated that his administration has put in place necessary measures to promote theatre arts in the state.


The governor, who was represented by Deputy Governor Kayode Alabi, stated this during a visit by the officials of Nigerian Theatre Art Practitioners (ANTP), led by its president, Mr Adewale Elesho.


He noted that when the Ilorin Innovation Hub and Visual Arts Center is completed, the association would benefit immensely from the project.


This was disclosed by Modupe Joel, chief press secretary to the deputy governor, added that the art center would create jobs for the youths, promote creativity and sustain growth.


The centre is a purpose-built cultural museum of visual and cinematic arts, with post production studio facilities, galleries, and screen space, amongst other.


The governor advised the theater industry to always channel their movies towards changing the mindset of the Nigerian youths from anti social activities.


Also, President of ANTP, Elesho solicited for the continuous support of the state government.
