Politician Femi Fani-Kayode has condemned the recent killing
of 90 people in Zamfara by foreign Fulani terrorists. He stated that the victims were Hausa and had nothing to do with
banditry, saying, This was just callous, cold-blooded murder. This was ethnic
cleansing. This was mass murder. This was genocide. This was evil. FFK added that the killers had murdered additional 12 people
in Sokoto, and are blocking the highways for night operations in Zamfara. While sympathising with the people and government of Zamfara
state, he called on the federal government to help them in fighting against this
terrorists. He said, I call on the FG to help them fight against this great evil
and these bloodthirsty killers and terrorists. If the things that are happening in Zamfara today were
happening in any Middle Belt or Southern state the entire country would have
expressed outrage. Is it because Zamfara is in the core North that no-one seems
to care? Fani-Kayode stated that despite the efforts by Zamfara Governor
Bello Matawelle it appears that there are
some highly placed 5th columnists and collaborators within the federal
government that are helping the terrorists. This is shameful. Zamfara has been treated unfairly by the
FG and media and she deserves all the help she can get, he added.
