EU reveals three new COVID-19 testing machines installed at Fiji's centre of disease control

The European Union (EU)  has revealed that three new COVID-19 testing machines have been installed at Fiji's centre of disease control.

The machines were procured by the World Health Organisation (WHO) with funding from the EU..

The union stated that the machines allows 16 samples to be tested at once instead of four, which allows it to test up to 1,500 per day.

According to EU, "The machines will be used immediately to test for COVID-19, and longer term, they can also be used for testing samples for a range of other diseases, such as influenza, tuberculosis and HIV."
