WHAT MY MUM'S CONCERN FOR ME TAUGHT ME ABOUT THE LOVE OF GOD

BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

The last time I was in Lagos with my mum, I had my haircut. I was on "skin" and removed my beards, I was trying different new looks due to the late development.

Lol, I'm not getting "bald" oo, it is because of the hairs that are supposed to keep growing on my head that are avoiding me recently and I can't beg the hairs. Ordinary hair ooo.

I got to the house to show my mum my new look, she smiled and placed her hand on my head. She had a feel of my skinned scalp as she rubbed her hand on it.

She told me I wasn't looking good enough with my new look especially because of my empty cheeks that had no beards.

She then recommended that I should try to keep a low beard if it would help my new haircut.

I told her I'm quite surprised that she was that concerned about my look. Then she told me something that struck me; "don't you know you are my son no matter how you have grown. I'm concerned about every thing about you including your look".

I felt so loved, encouraged and cared for after I had my mum make such statement as I thought about how greater the love of Christ for me beyond that of  my earthly biological mother.

LESSONS

1. What made the difference for me to feel so loved, encouraged and cared for was my awareness and the consciousness I came into by the words of my mother that I heard though other gestures overtime have proved her love for me.

In the same vein, the love of God is resident in our spirit as He has oved us before we came to the knowledge of it. We need to be more aware of it by our intimacy with the Holy Spirit and we also have to be conscious of it momentarily by hearing His words.

2. My mum emphasized that even though I have grown as her son, it hasn't changed the fact that she is concerned about everything around me.

Also, no matter how we get to grow spiritually; in revelations, dimensions, anointing and all, let's be conscious of God being concerned about every of our affairs and circumstances.

We shouldn't grow in God to the extent of us denying Him of coming into some of our issues, let's tell him about all things we do and feel. Our love for God demands His involvement in all that concerns you.

Happy Sunday Fam. Say it boldly; "I love Jesus and Jesus loves me".
