President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed how pleased he is on the increase in the enrollment of persons into the National Identification Number (NIN), stating that the goal is total coverage. He said that NIN is the foundational digital ID for the country, which would cover the weaknesses in the county security structure and will give them the ability to identify all Nigerians. President Buhari stated that all Nigerian citizens and legal residents are expected to obtain the NIN, which will provide access to government services and will give government useful insights that will enable them utilize scarce resources in a more efficient way.
