Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has defended Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka, stating that it must be done regardless of his fault. He said that this must be done so as to focus on the real perpetrators, and not make themselves hate their own. According to him, "Rev. Father Mbaka MUST be defended regardless of his perceived faults. Don't allow the trusted character assassination antics of the Janjaweed Caliphate cause you to hate your own. "After we subdue the Caliphate we can then come home and allocate blame in-house. Never join outsiders to destroy your own."
