Neymar extends contract with PSG till 2025

 

Brazil football player, Neymar Junior has announced his stay in Paris Saint-German (PSG) till 2025.


The club confirmed the announcement via it's website, stating that they are delighted that he signed the contract extension keeping him in the club for a further three seasons until 30 June 2025.




According to the club's website, “I’m really pleased to continue my adventure at Paris Saint-Germain, said Neymar Jr on signing his new contract. I’m very happy in Paris, and proud to be part of this squad, to work with these players, a great coach and to be part of the history of this club. These are things that make me believe even more in this great project. I have grown as a person here, as a human being and as a player, too. So I am very happy to extend my contract and I hope to win many more trophies here."


CEO of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi expressed how happy and proud he is for the contract extension of Neymar.


He said, 

"I am proud that Neymar Jr has reaffirmed his long-term commitment to the PSG family through to 2025, and will continue to delight fans. We are very happy to see him continue as part of our project and to be alongside us for many years to come.”


Since joining the club in 2017, Neymar has been outstanding and being regarded as one of the club's legend, scoring 85 goals and 51 assists in his 112 games for the club, making him part of the top ten scorers in the club's history. 


Also, he has won 9 trophies so far with the club: three Ligue 1 titles (2018, 2019 & 2020), two Coupes de France (2018 & 2020), two Coupes de la Ligue (2018, & 2020) and two Trophées des Champions (2018 & 2020).
