Following his sack as head coach of Juventus, Andrea Pirlo has taken to his social media channel to thank the club for the experience and adventure. He stated that his first season as a coach was intense and complicated but still wonderful. According to him, " When I got called up by Juventus I never thought about the risk I was taking, although it was pretty obvious. Respect for the colors of this shirt prevailed and the willingness to play me at the highest level for the project I had envisioned." Pirlo stated that if he were to start afresh he would do the same thing, although aware of all the obstacles that he encountered, saying, If I had to go back I would do the exact same choice again, although aware of all the obstacles I encountered in such a difficult time for everyone, which prevented me from better planning my intentions and my style of play, but during which I still achieved the goals I was set to do. He said that the experience made him realize what he wanted his future to be, which is to be complete and fulfilling as when he was a football player. While thanking the club Juventus and everyone who stood by his side, Pirlo stated that it is time to get back on the game and face new challenges.
