Governor of Akwa Ibom, H. E. Udom Emmanuel has visited officers and men of the police at the state police headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo. During the visit, the governor condoles with the command over the loss of men and assets to the security issues witnessed in the state. He announced a donation of the sum of N60 million for the families of the policemen who was a victim of to the threat. Receiving the governor, Commissioner of police, CP Amiengheme Andrew informed the governor that the command has lost 21 personnel, 11 vehicles, 7 firearms amongst other, adding that the morale of the men has been lifted by the governor's visit. Also, police officers expressed appreciation to Governor Udom for the visit and donation, promising that they will do all within their powers to bring an end to criminality in the state.
