Kwara state government has acquired generator, inverter freezers and stabilizers for the state cold store, in an effort to give best healthcare service delivery to the people. Speaking at the inspection of the equipment, Executive Secretary Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Nusirat Elelu thanks the state Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for the support, stating that it gives the agency the assurance of vaccine quality and rendering the best immunisation service delivery to the people of the state. She said that the 50KVA standby generator will be used at the state cold store to support the steady power supply to the cold room; while the thermocool inverter freezers and Duravolt stabilizers will be shared to the Local Government Area (LGA) cold store across the 16 LGAs in Kwara state to boost availability of ice packs during immunisation activities. Director Primary Healthcare Systems, Dr. Michael Oguntoye said the support will boost the cold chain facilities at each of the LGA, charging each LGA health team to be prudent abs make proper use of the equipment as it would encourage government and other donors agencies to do more. In addition, Agency's Director Personnel, Finance and Supply, Hajia Raliat Balogun said that the agency is committed in delivering quality healthcare services to the citizens and constant supports such as this shows the zeal of the present administration of a vibrant and committed governor to bring Kwara primary health care to the national standard.
