Kim Kardashian West has paid tribute to designer, Alber Elbaz, saying that his passing made her heart broke. She recalled the memory of the time she had a surprise lunch with him and almost fainted when she walked in. She stated that he was the most warm and welcoming. Kim stated that Alber dressed her for her first Vogue cover and gifted her with the cover dress to hold onto the memory, after which she was dressed by Alber and Lanvin to her first Met Ball. "Our fittings were filled with laughs and hugs! What a sweet soul. I will cherish all of our memories forever," she added.
