The kaduna state government has appointed the United Bank for Africa (UBA) as the issuing bank for the production of residents' biometric identity card. State Governor Nasir El-rufai said that the state has registered more than 3.4m of its 10m residents and welcomed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a major step to promote financial inclusion. The MoU was signed by Dr. Zayyad Tsiga of the Kaduna residents registration agency on behalf of the Kaduna state government.
