Actress Toyin Abraham has stated that every role model was once a protegee who worked hard to ensure that they get to where they are even if they didn't have a blissful past. She stated that every body has a past and no one is perfect in what they are doing, we all have flaws and has smooth or troubled path in getting the state they are. According to her, "Nobody came perfect. We all have past. Some troubled past, other smooth sailing past. Now that people call me role model, I wonder if they know I didn’t come perfect." Toyin said that she is not perfect and has a role to play being a role model because success is a journey not a destination. She added that although she had trouble in her past, it never stopped her from succeeding. She said, "I am not perfect, you will not be but let’s not forget that we are all role models to some people. That alone is enough motivation to keep going on your journey and be happy with the fact that , success is a journey not a destination. " For the avoidance of doubt, I had very troubled past but here I am today. What a journey, what a life and there is still more to come."
