Politician Femi Fani-Kayode has revealed that the biggest mistake any politician can make is to assume that the Nigeria of 2021 is the same as the Nigeria of 2015 or 2019. He said that the rules of engagement and the entire game has changed, and the quest for self-determination is now the rule of the day and not power rotation or restructuring. FFK stated that most people with real power and crowd are the ethnic nationalists and no longer politicians. He said, "Those that have real power and that control the biggest crowds today are not the politicians but the ethnic nationalists. They are also the most well organised and dangerous because they are fuelled not by money or the desire for political office and patronage but by conviction, passion, zeal, purpose, truth and the quest for justice, emancipation, equity, justice and freedom." FFK stressed that those ethnic nationalists are here to stay whether people like it or not.
