COVID-19 recovery takes up to 2-3 weeks, expert says

Faheem Younus, Chief of Infectious disease, University of Maryland UCH, has explained that COVID recovery takes up to two to three weeks.

He said that there is no need to repeat COVID test, labs, CAT scans unless worsening or hospitalized, adding that 80-90% of patients recover at home without extra oxygen or antibiotics.

Younus stressed that as long as the person is not getting worse, it means the person is getting better.
