Bobi Wine commemorate Winnie Madikizela-Mandela


Bobi Wine has joined the world to commemorate freedom fighter, mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.


He said, For her beliefs, she was tortured, subjected to house arrest, kept under surveillance, held in solitary confinement and banished, but she never gave up or turned back. 


Bobi stated that her courage is testament that fighting for freedom knows no gender or status


He said, 

"It simply takes conviction, determination and courage. I salute all the women and girls who are walking in her footsteps here in Uganda. Continue resting in peace. You stand tall as a giant of history."


Winnie was Nelson Mandela second wife, who served as a Member of Parliament from 1994 to 2003, and from 2009 until her death, and was a deputy minister of arts and culture from 1994 to 1996.
