President Buhari congratulates newly appointed Tanzanian president

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated newly appointed Tanzanian Presidency, vice president Samia Suluhu Hassan as she takes over as the country's head following the demise of President John Magufuli. 

President Buhari urged President Suluhu to unite the nation and lead the country in a good direction. 

Also, he expressed his desire to work with the new Tanzanian president to advance issues of common African and global interests. 

President Suluhu becomes the first female president of Tanzania.
