H. E. Dr. Bello Matawelle has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari have approved the deployment of 6,000 troops to complement efforts of the current security forces in the state.
He said that the action was for further push to bring an end to the activities of armed bandits, and the conveyance of more than two persons on a motorcycle is banned with immediate effect.
Governor Bello issued warnings that movement of motorcycles in large numbers is banned and the spread of fake news by social media users will not be tolerated, stating that violators will be dealt with decisively.
While informing traditional rulers and sole administrators of local government council to remain in their respective domains, he warned politicians that incites violence and endanger the security of the state will be apprehended and dealt with.
Also, he directed security agents to arrest and arraign violators for prosecution.
