Governor of Ogun state, H. E. Adegboyega Oyetola has inaugurated the Osun Integrated Financial Management Info System (SIFMIS) which built to automate the state's financial management system.
He stated that the system will enhance the state budgetary efficiency as it's a potent weapon for achieving the resolve to rid the state system of corruption and unnecessary bottlenecks.
He said,
"For over two years, our administration's Development Agenda which adopts mechanics of accountability and transparency as drivers to manage our limited resources has helped us cut wastages & plug excesses and we've used the dividends to provide services in all the sectors.
"We're desirous of leaving an enduring financial & economic legacy for Osun & it's our belief that the best way to fight corruption in the public service is to build an impregnable & efficient financial system."
Governor Oyetola stressed that the SIFMIS will make the state a player in global financial best practices and a model in financial efficiency in the nation.
According to him, "Our civil servants are our greatest resource in the achievement of our mandate & implementation of our policies. We count on them in our resolve to make this initiative work. We shall engage in capacity building to hone their skills so that the aim of this initiative can be achieved."
