Igbo presidency: Doyin Okupe apologies to Igbos concerning previous statement

Politician Doyin Okupe has apologized to Igbo people for his earlier statement concerning them attaining the presidency. 


He said that he regrets the post and is truly sorry, and never intended to hurt or demean the Igbos but rather wanted to help actualize the dream. 


In his words, 

"I tender my unreserved appology 2 d Igbos & other nigerians who felt offended by my post on igbo presidency and the north.I never intended to hurt or demean the Igbos.Instead I wanted 2 help actualise d dream. I regret d said post, & I am  truly sorry."


Earlier, Clintonsdaily reported Okupe sating that it is impossible for a Nigerian president to emerge from the east. 


He described it as a political fact, saying that if there ever be a president from the east it would happen through a national concensus.
