Governor of Edo state, H. E. Godwin Obaseki has paid tribute to his friend and brother, Late John Olusegun Odubela (SAN), a great compatriot who toiled till his last days in defence of justice and truth. He said, "Odubela was a fine gentleman; intelligent and committed to the fine ethos of democracy, working earnestly to defend the people against the excesses of their oppressors." Governor Obaseki stated that he remains a shinning light in efforts at consolidating democracy in the state. According to him, " I send my heart-felt condolences to his immediate family and the people of Ogun State. I pray that God grants us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss."
