Ghana police arrests two suspects for alleged buying of ammunition and possession of Indian hemp


Ghana police at Worawora in the Oti region has arrested two suspects for allegedly buying G-3 ammunitions and possession of warps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp at Kwamekrom Abdulkordzi, a suburb of Worawora on 22nd March, 2021.


The suspects, Godwin Kpodo Agbevitor (Landlord) and Samuel Agbeshi alias Adah Emma were arrested due to effort from police-public cooperation. During the arrests 16 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and 181 rounds of suspected G-3 ammunitions were recovered from them, respectively.


They are in police custody following a remand by the Jasikan Circuit Court on 25th March to appear on 29th March, 2021.


The Oti regional police command encouraged the public to report persons involved in criminal activities to face the rigors of the law and assures informants of absolute confidentiality.
